Somehow manages to advocate a stat-head idea (saves are overrated, use your best reliever in the critical situation) and turn it into a hankering for the good old days when men were men and pitchers threw until their labrums caught fire. Bizzare.

Morgan just makes s*** up
Was watching the Yanks-Sox game on espn on sunday. Morgan is told (by Miller?)that the Red Sox are leading the league in OBP. Morgan says that this team is less a free swinging team than last years Sox team when they were much lower in the OBP catagory. I looked it up and the Sox were first in OBP last year and the year before.
Morgan I think, just shows up for the game and does not even read the sports page on the way to the park.
