First, thank God we won!  These losses are breaking my heart...

NEways, it occurred to me as I was watching the game what I would have done had I been in the position with any say--again, I'm STILL not over "the trades."

I would have not signed Kendall and let either Durazo or Dotel walk.  I say this because their money would have covered Huddy and Mark and with Dan Johnson/Huston Street going to be here soon anyways, I would have rather traded Dotel and Durazo then Hudson/Mulder.  And I don't even want to get started about Kendall....

Okay, so we lose Hudson after this year.  That gives Harden and Blanton another year to develop (which in at least Blanton's case, is needed) and then our 2k6 rotation has Mulder, Zito, Harden, Blanton, TBD.  That's still better than what we have now or will have in '06.  And what I would have done doesn't include the two years worth of minor league development and drafting we would have done.

Well, like I said, glad we won.  Hope this team stays healthy and proves my ideas crazy.  And thanks everyone for your input, I see where you're coming from which is why I'm wrote this tonight.
