diamond seats
wow, I'm impressed. I once emailed the A's to get info on diamond seating (terms, $, etc) but they never replied.

I sat Diamond Level Once
It was the BEST!!!  I think you have to know someone.  I was told once you cannot buy single game tickets from the A's.  I only got to go because my (now ex) husband's friend's uncle (did you follow that!?) has Diamond Level Season Tickets, same seats every year.  I would LOVE to sit down there again!  All the food and drinks (well 2 free beers) until the 7th inning!  Players constantly walking by you!  It was HEAVEN!

diamond seats?
what is that, exactly can someone fill me in?
well iono what that is, but from what i heard from people, its like , the best seat in the house

They are
the BEST seats in the house!!!  Next time you watch a home game on TV, look at the people sitting directly behind the catcher.  That's Diamond Level, baby!  Waitstaff bring you free food and drinks, YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET UP!  It's sooooo hot!  The player's (for both teams) locker rooms are directly behind the Diamond Level seats and there are players walking by all the time!  With the seats I had last year, we got to park in the visiting team's player parking lot (I saw the limo waiting to take I-Rod somewhere after the game).  Then, you walk down this carpeted hall - you must stay to the left side of the tape, as to stay out of players/coaches/umpire's way.  Past the visiting team's locker room and then, there it is - Diamond Level - **angels sing on high*

You are not supposed to ask for autographs but our team is so nice that most of them either stop or will say "Hi" or respond in some way.  I think I got 8 autographs (sadly my ** ex-husband wanted them in the divorce.  That's okay, I got the best thing - my son! But that's another story!) and had a brief chat w/ Tim Hudson, Ken Macha and Bobby Crosby.

I don't know any other details to explain the hotness of Diamond Level, except to say if you ever get the chance to sit there - DO IT!  I know I would do it again without thinking twice!

Not that I could afford it
-- well, maybe if I mortgage my firstborn ;) -- but I'm real curious as to how much tickets (season or otherwise) might be.

I have sat in MVP just above and behind the diamond seating and that section looks just awesome.

$150.00 / seat
is what was on my ticket last season - multiplied by 81 home games - that's $12,150.00 per seat... $24,300 if you want to have someone go with you... That doesn't include any post season games...

If we could get 81 people to commit to buying 2 seats to one game ... we could call them the AN seats...  hmmmmm - something to think about for next year...

Your friend
must know someone who has season tickets.  Enjoy yourself!  I want to hear details!  I would say I'm jealous, but I am happy for any A's fan who gets a chance to sit down there!  I'd do it again in a heartbeat (rent, who needs to pay rent!?)
