Not having to reset would be sweet!

not really since you have to go
turbo refresh in order for it to work like a chat.

refresh big deal
So what. It's not that hard.  You can press the button or control+r.

well...
there are chats that allow for logging. we could have a rule that comments would have to be grammatically correct to keep a reign on mere screaming so that folks wouldn't have to scroll past pages of it.

my 2 cents
I prefer threads, because for one thing, there's a sense of continuity with the topic(s) of conversation.  That is why I have my comments preferences set as threaded.

From my experience with chat rooms, and it just may be me with this problem (starting on that trend of getting to old to adapt to new technology...), there's just too much going on to follow and read everything. There's no continuity, like one poster could be making a comment about the batting order and the submitted comment right under that is a question about where to get those giant foam cowboy hats...  I hope what I am saying makes sense.

I also like threads because I can read them at another time, especially when I usually can't read them during games.  Are chats as archivable?

Although, I can understand the appeal of a chat room.
