these are the 2 options for street
1) have street start the season in oakland because he's so much better than the other candidates and he'll be a crucial part in staying competitive at the cost of losing him a year earlier
or
2) have him start in sac. while giving johnson a spot so we would be able to keep johnson the whole year, let street develop a little more, and bring him up for the stretch run while being able to keep him longer.
To me, option 2 looks better... i don't think that street will be a crucial part in the bullpen. Don't get me wrong, i think that he'll be a very good pitcher, but it's not crucial that he's in the bigs right away. With cruz in the 6th and 7th, calero in the 8th and dotel in the 9th... do we really need to put street on the clock? If street starts in the bigs, that tells me that BB wants him to play a very crucial role in the pen... a role so crucial that it's worth starting his arby clock. I think that that would stamp dotel's 1-way ticket outta oakland. Am i wrong here??
