Just read in the current issue of Sports Weekly that BB "will sign a lucrative contract extension once Lew Wolff is officially announced as the owner," according to SW's Bob Nightengale. He speculated in last weeks edition that Lew Wolff "has been approved as the new owner of the A's, which will be announced by opening day."

Only time will tell if the "by opening day" will apply considering MLB's timeline for announcements has historically been sloooowww.  

If its all true it would be great news for A's fans everywhere. Hopefully, our most valuable potential free agent has been re-upped.
