You can tell your grandchildren and others at the retirement home that you saw the first nationally televised game of the Washington Nationals.

Correction
I believe it has been traditionally called the "Grapefruit League" down in Florida.

I don't usually quibble, but baseball is the last bastion of tradition.

2nd favorite team: WHOEVER IS PLAYING THE GIANTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I prefer OJ
Calling it the "Orange Juice League" was funny, even if it was unintentional. Who cares about Spring Training East Coast version? Not me. Too much Red Sox-Yankee hype going on over there...

It was intentional.

Grapefruit my hairy white ass.

It should really be called the "Likely to rain out my god it's pretty humid isn't it? League"

Funny...
...but man, Florida Grapefriut is a sweet slice of heaven.

east coast spring training
I agree, who cares about the east in ST.  There arent any good stories, everything is more of a tune up for everyday players rather than a showcase of young baseball talent.

Dammit...
Hate that east coast bias.
