Erubiel Durazo has apparently had a great "off-season", contributing to Mexico's win in the Caribbean World Series:

This one kind of slipped through the cracks, maybe because the story came out on the big Bonds Media Day.  

Conspicuously small amount of stuff about Durazo on this web site for one of the central hitters on the team, I guess since he's not part of future plans?  In my opinion, he's a guy who's got to do what he did last year for the A's to win the West.  Last year Ruby as I recall took a while to heat up (especially in the RBI column).  Maybe this great off season is going to prime him for early season success this year.

Does anyone have his stats from his winter season?  How crucial is Ruby's performance to the team's success this year?  Is there any scenario that keeps him with the A's in the future?  Let's hear what you have to say.
