Although I've been a diehard A's fan since I was kneehigh to a tadpole- I've never really lived in the Bay Area (or even California) and have no particular allegiance to Barrymania. With that said, my view of Barry Bonds is that he is without a doubt a pox upon the game of baseball. His attitude of "I can do no wrong", "The press is against me- especially the white press" and "Get out of my face" is simply not something that helps his own image nor the game of baseball.
To most people, it's very obvious that Barry used something to get the bulked up body that he has now- and the evidence from the Balco discovery seems to support this belief. For him to stand before the world and continue to deny his participation is one thing, but to blame the press for attacking him is just too much.
I realize that Barry will most likely break the great Hank Aaron's home run record sometime in the next few years, and that's a shame. Barry doesn't have enough class to tie Hank's shoes, let take his record.
