Oakland Raiders should hire Paul DePodesta
to run their Research & Development Department.
What do you guys think?
I honestly think there are statistics out there that can give you a full right advantage on drafting players, picking play calls, and signing free agents for football.
Maybe then, the Raiders can finally learn that they have a higher probability of winning (I have no evidence) if they run a no huddle offense the whole game against Denver like the Colts.
Anybody got statistics for football that is as strong as OBP for baseball? Thanx in Advance

well...
B) DePodesta did play football in college, and worked for the CFL before getting into MLB, so he probably knows his stuff well enough to cook up something... Besides, you don't really have to "know" baseball to understand the stats... The A's initially exploited the low market value of OBP to turn their organization around, as long as you understood that OBP was the probability of not making an out you could understand the main baseball stat DePo covets, lol
