Kearns a viable option?

According to mlbrumors.com, kearns is about to be shipped to Chicago for Jerome Williams. If we are really interested in Kearns, then the price for him has really dropped...we might be able to get him for Cruz/Kennedy, or Rhino, or something. Seems pretty cheap. Add this to the Milton Bradley rumor, and then, voila, we have a new OF and Payton is as good as gone for prospects. Check this new lineup out

I'm as sick of hearing Austin Kearns rumors as the next person; BUT, if he's coming as cheap as Jerome Williams now...

I swear just a few days ago I read that the Reds wanted 4! players for Kearns. And now they're taking just Jerome Williams? Williams is cheaper than Cruz or Kennedy but hopefully Beane has at least offered either of those guys for Kearns.

I'm not buying this at all. Williams is not without promise, but he's a two-time damaged goods loser (in the eyes of most teams).

This rumor is the equivalent of "Jairo Garcia for Kearns."

the same place has said the twinkies have gotten in on the austin kearns action, and the reason his stock has dropped so much is his threat of injury, as well. I know, it's all hearsay without sources...

confirmation.
But still, ...why not Kearns and Bradly? That just means some are staying, some are going.

(Too many outfielders to keep them all. Just keep the best! Is Kearns a better option with 3-4 years of contract than Payton or Kielty with one?)
