uh

first of all, if we were living in NY, that would be the case. Secondly, i dobut anyone would choose Swisher over Blanton.

in fact

people who were more familiar with both of them (bay area folks) would be MORE likely to vote for blanton than swisher.
blanton had a RoY season aside from one bad month early on. he should have been at least top five in the voting.
swisher was a typical inconsistent rookie, up and down all year. those unfamiliar with the a's rookies must hve been impressed by the numbers (HRs, RBIs).

the vote tally clearly shows that at least two people did put swisher above blanton

I would have put Swish above Blanton,

but that is just because I am in love with the guy, so I am a bit bias!

I think some people just looked at Joe's W-L and that jaded them against him. I think the low run support really hurt Cupcakes. Let's just hope he gets the Cy Young next year and that will make up for it!

But really, I do think that Swish deserved to be in the top there. I am glad he was so high.
