The A's Next Manager Will Be.....

....yes I know that Macha isn't even all the way out the door yet. But haven't we seen this pattern before?

A member of the A's, who BB has become indifferent about, is made a low-ball offer. BB doesn't lose either way, because he isn't emotionally vested in the decision.

It's why Giambi ended up in NY, why Howe and Peterson ended up with the Mets, and it's why Macha will end up elsewhere next season.

A manager is a commodity to Beane. I think he believes that anyone who played the game, has some previous managerial experience somewhere, and a fairly even temperment, and is willing to play second-fiddle to Beane, can run this team.

To add to that, he has one man on his staff who fits those four job descriptions perfectly. On top of that, this man and BB are friends, according to Aces anyway.

Who is that man?

Introducing the next manager of the Oakland A's...

...Bob Geren!!

This should be wrapped up by November 1st.

Now it's time to sit back and see if I end up looking ridiculous. ;-)
