In more than a few threads, there have been a few mentions of awesome names only baseball players can have.  It's just one of those thing the I believe is unique to baseball, the names and the nicknames.  You don't see that so much in other sports and if it does happen it's usually lame and self-promoting like Phillip "Showtime" Buchanon.

People may say the football is America's sport but baseball will always be America's pastime.

So to start the discussion I'm going to throw out some nicknames and names for discussion.
