I am holding on for dear life. Repeat after me: Remember the Yankees. Remember the Yankees.

What? That's right, remember those plucky Yankees that backed their way into the playoffs and somehow beat us in 5 games? Yes those Yankees.

In other words, there is evidence that a team can turn itself around despite a paltry final month. That's what I'm pegging my hope ship to right now.

If you look at it, the A's have been red hot the last 4 years chugging into the playoffs only to meet utter devastation.

Hopefully, a team that is doing a reverse spider crawl can get the job done too.

As long as Anaheim keeps choking too, we still sit in the driver's seat. Even if it doesn't feel like it.
