There are some technical difficulties that come with a migration of this sort. The big one is that people can't register. We're on it. I'll post an update when that error is fixed. Thanks for being patient.

A suggestion about the email sent out when someone registers...

you might want to have the email use "www.athleticsnation.com" instead of "athletic.armstrongzuniga.com" as the address of the site.

Minor suggestions

Overall, very nice. I'm looking forward to seeing how this works out. A few minor suggestions:

As Kevin suggested, the armstrongzuniga.com URL caused some problems. I had to relogin at athleticsnation.com; when I changed my password at armstrongzuniga.com, it had no effect at athleticsnation.com, and I had to change it again.

I'd add a few more pixels of padding around the text in the center. The page seems more cluttered now with the yellow running down both sides; some white space would be beneficial.

You might want to default everyone to the Pacific Time Zone; most of us A's fans are probably in this time zone.

I like how there's lots of gold to go along with the green now...hopefully it will inspire the boys to claim some gold of their own in October.

I just can't imagine being eith a Sox OR Cubs fan. To think that my grandfather, born in 1919, has never seen either of those teams win a World Series.

Sometimes, we don't realize how good we have it. :-)

Great Work!

I was a bit worried when I saw a new, more complicated site was on the way... the simplicity of the old site was really nice. However, I have to say this looks like a great change all around. The design and functionality look amazing. Thanks for all the hard work.

Need Subject

Comments with no subject don't seem to appear in the thread you're commenting in. Just a minor thing, but it can lead to some needless frustration...

I just noticed that while you have rating comments turned off, if you click on a user and look at their comments, ratings of "1.25/0" appear next to the subjects.

The look

I love Kos's site and have gotten very used to the orange. But for an A's site, there must be much more green than this. it's baseball! Other than that, good job, guys.

redesign

i really like the new functionality, blez. version 2.0 is all i could hope for. the threading and the diaries are all excellent. and the site looks pretty good too... except, personally, i think it's kind of abrupt at the top of the page with nothing there, and that picture of the ball and glove in the top left corner really doesn't fit. color-wise, it doesn't go with the rest of the site very well, and it doesn't really say "oakland a's" to me. overall, though: great job!
