The A's led the league with 1,274 runners stranded.

This from an article in the Tribune, talking about approach for next year (which, unfortunately, is what we're left with for now)

I think this is a very telling statistic; it would even account for bad pitching, meaning that if we were able to convert, and get runners in after getting on base....

it makes up for the sometimes lackluster, sometimes downright gross pitching issues we had this year.

discuss.
